A chart needs a clear question

Before comparing a portfolio with the S&P 500, confirm the date range, included accounts and whether the chart measures investment performance or balance change. Cash flows can change balances without being returns. When opening a ticker from chat, check that it is the security you intended and that the position detail matches the relevant account.

What does hiding balances protect?

The gesture described in this release hides displayed balance information. It is a visual privacy feature, not a change to account permissions, connected-data access or every piece of sensitive text on screen.

Before sharing a screenshot, inspect the actual image for account names, identifying details and text inside a chat. Do not assume the gesture makes every screen safe to share. Shake again only when you are comfortable revealing balances in your surroundings.
